Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information FiatFussion collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect what we need to operate a regulated marketplace and keep your account secure — no more.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: name, email address, password hash, country of residence.
• Verification (KYC) data: government-issued ID, selfie, proof of address — required for elevated trading limits and certain payment methods.
• Payment-method details: mobile money number, bank account name and number, card last-four — provided when posting offers or completing trades. Not stored more than necessary.
• Trade content: chat messages with counterparties, payment proof you upload, dispute submissions.
• Support messages: any content sent to us via email, chat, or contact form.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps.
• Device data: IP address, browser, OS, approximate location.
• Trade metadata: trade timestamps, sizes, payment methods, completion rates, ratings — used for reputation, fraud detection, and reporting.
• Cookies: for authentication, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To verify identity and comply with KYC/AML obligations in applicable jurisdictions.
• To process trades, hold escrow, and settle disputes.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, scams, money laundering, and abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account and product updates.
• To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With your trade counterparty: name (or username), payment-method details required to complete the trade, and trade-related chat. Required for the trade itself.
• With service providers: KYC providers, payment-rail integrations, cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics — under contract and only as needed to operate the Service.
• With law enforcement and regulators: when legally required, including in response to valid subpoenas, court orders, or AML reporting obligations.
• In business transfers: if FiatFussion is acquired or merged, with appropriate confidentiality protections.

• Account credentials and KYC documents are encrypted at rest using industry-standard cryptography.
• All traffic uses TLS 1.2 or higher.
• Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and audit-logged.
• 2FA is required for sensitive actions (withdrawals, KYC changes, large trades).

No system is 100% secure. Use a strong, unique password; enable 2FA; revoke API keys at the source if you suspect compromise.

We retain account, trade, and KYC data for as long as your account is active and for periods required by applicable financial regulations after closure (typically 5–7 years for AML records). After regulatory periods expire, we delete or anonymize personal data.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion (subject to retention obligations).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We use cookies for authentication, preferences, fraud prevention, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling them may break parts of the Service.

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

FiatFussion operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards for international transfers.

Material changes are communicated via email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
